HAIR Preview Concert: ALL ACCESS

Wednesday evening HAIR teamed up with a clothing store called Theory who sells ridicuously over-priced clothing. But for one night, we liked them, and preformed at the grand-opening of their new store in the West Village. Everyone at The Public was invited to attend, but I got to work it, which meant an all access pass, reserved watching space and sound checks.
It was pretty cool and the cast sounded amazing. They were in full costume, so we had a wardrobe crew there, which left me and one of the interns, Leigh, not much to do. Good thing someone forgot to bring socks for the guys to wear with their costumes, so the two of us got to go an a crazy man hunt for socks. Let me tell you, designer stores (which is all there is in the West Village) do not sell socks. We finally found some at Rite Aid Pharmacy and rushed back to some very relieved actors. Our black women's dress socks were so awesome, that many of the actors thought the socks were actually from Theory and were talking about how they were going to tell everyone they got free socks from Theory and act all cool about it. I burst their buble when they looked at me and asked if they were really from Theory and I said "They're from Rite Aid." But being actors, they still plan on telling everyone that the socks are from the designer store!

Here are some pics from the event!

Sound Check! Jonathon Groff, who plays Claude the lead, is in the blue on the left.

The show with the full cast in costume and Jonathon again singing downstage center.

Me, Katie and Leigh (the two interns) at the after party!
